About Me
Meet Bridget
My name is Bridget Dorgan, and I am a student from Charlotte, North Carolina studying Media and Journalism at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. I am especially interested in broadcast journalism because I enjoy telling stories and connecting with people through meaningful content. Outside of academics, I love to read and perform both of which have helped me grow creatively and build confidence in expressing myself.
How it Started
From a young age, I would watch The Today Show every morning with my mom, and I always loved how ordinary people could suddenly feel extraordinary in a single moment when their stories were shared. That’s what made me realize I wanted to do journalism too.
I want to highlight real people and real experiences in a way that feels honest and meaningful. I’m especially interested in broadcast journalism and want to keep learning how to tell the truth through stories that matter.
My Purpose
My purpose in journalism is to be honest in my reporting and share stories in a way that lets people form their own opinions.
